50hour Hatha - Vinyasa immersive training. with Adam Weirick & Lars Mathiesen
Saturday September 18 to Sunday October 3rd
This integrative immersive experience is designed to be an intensive and transformative physical practice and go further with special topical lectures on the weekend sessions. The morning practices will be an integrated approach that goes beyond asana to include pranayama, meditation and mantra. These practices work synergistically together to penetrate through the energetic layers of our being to enable the practitioner to deepen their experience of the yogic path. Study sessions will introduce you to physical anatomy & physiology, alignment posture clinics, mantra, pranayama, yogic subtle anatomy and philosophy of Patanjali’s 8 limbed yogic pathway.
Who is this training for?
This training is for all curious yoga practitioners who want to deepen their knowledge, ability and understanding of the practices of yoga. It’s an opportunity to begin one’s journey into the expansive knowledge of yogic related topics including philosophy, anatomy, physiology, injury management & prevention, Sanskrit, pranayama, meditation and mantra.
It is also ideal for students that are thinking of doing a 200 hour teacher training and want to get a taste of what lies ahead.
Why do a 50h training rather than a 200h?
If you want to start to develop your understanding of yoga but are not able to commit to a 200hr practice, a 50hr training can be an excellent start for many reasons. Conveniently you are able to take the training and work simultaneously full time with the course not disrupting your normal work hours. It is also very helpful to give you a taste of what an intensive immersion would feel like in a 200hr training.
You also gain a detailed and educated view of the different teaching methodologies, linages and styles of yoga currently available. So if you decide to embark on further study you will be far more confident of which style of yoga is most suitable for you.
A 200hour course is a big commitment. With a 50 hour training one can get a sense of what area of yoga one may want to deepen so they can better able select a 200 hour training that is good for them. Some are just really curious about the scope and depth that exists beyond the physical practices.
What type of yoga will I practice during the training?
The majority of the training will be given in either Hatha or Vinyasa but restorative, yin meditation and pranayama will be taught as well.
